We all sacrifice every time we lose a soldier? Really? You mean the soldiers whose flag draped coffins we are not even allowed to see? The soldiers whose funerals Bush has not even bothered to attend? You mean the soldiers who are dead because rather than risk the political fallout of a draft, we just keep asking the same men and women to go back over and over again until eventually their luck runs out? I always knew Ari was a slimy propagandist, but this is disgusting on so many levels that I can't even begin to count the ways. Feel free to help me out.

Carlin once said that if you dig beneath the surface of a cynic, you will find a broken hearted idealist. There's a reason for the cynicism. But, has it ever been any different? I think the peasants would have understood this all too well. The 50's, 60's, even part of the 70's economy was a fluke. An aberration.
